"Pabirik" The Festival of Gold

Pabirik Festival is the annual Festival of Paracale, Camarines Norte every Last week of January up to the day of town Fiesta on the second day of February. Pabirik is a tool made of wood perfectly shaped like a circular pan, slightly coned, with a smooth surface. Paracaleños use this tool to gather gold since the early days. This tool became the inspiration of the creators of the festival in 1998 as it symbolizes the whole purpose and significance of the celebration.

Theme: Liwanag ni Inay Candi sa Paskong Paracaleno

Ang pasko ay simbolo ng ating kaligtasan at pag-asa sa buhay, payak man o bonggang handaan, simple man o garbo ang regalo, walang problema. Basta ang mahalaga, tayo ay magkakasama bilang pamilya, sa pagdiriwang ng kaarawan ng ating Mesiyas.

Sana, katulad ng isang sanggol, tayo ay matutung ngumiti kahit sa mga simpleng bagay lang na nasa ating paligid.

Nawa'y balutin tayo ng liwanag ng mahal na inay candelaria, at ating pakatandaan, na ang dahilan ng pagdiriwang ng pasko ay mananatiling iisa habang panahon. Huwag nating aksayahin ang pagkakataong magbagong buhay at maging marapat sa banal na pagdiriwang na ito.

The SIDLAK Cultural Repertoire is a Local Government Unit of Paracale created organization in cooperation with Jenloo.net, established in 2012 for cultural, educational, and charitable purposes. It is a group composed of Local Government Scholars, Employees and Local Volunteers, whose main goals are to preserve and promote the appreciation and understanding of the Filipino cultural heritage specially our very own Paracale Camarines Norte cultural heritage together with modern culture among Paracalenos, Bicolanos as well as within the greater community of the Republic of the Philippines. It also aims to provide educational assistance to Paracalenos in addition to the sponsorship of cultural training workshops in Philippine dance, theatere and music for the benefit of the general public.
